A winner on all fronts, this travel case just about ticks all the boxes. Not only does it hold more baby wipes than most others, but it also does a great job of keeping them moist. Oh, and it comes pre-filled, so your first top-up is already sorted.

Pros

  • Holds over 30 wet wipes (and keeps them moist).
  • Flip-up top is easy to open and close with just one hand.
  • Pliable case can be squeezed into any available nook or cranny.
  • Fits most popular baby wipe brands.
  • Comes with natural, unscented baby wipes.

Cons

  • Colors and prints are random, so there’s no telling what you’ll end up with.
  • The included wipes are kind of flimsy.

Price:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)

If they were just a little easier to open, this set of two baby wipe travel cases would make a worthy contender for first place. Ultra-slim, highly effective, and stylish enough – they look like makeup bags so blend right in.?

Pros

  • Super compact and stores easily in any bag.
  • Excels at keeping wipes moist, even over extended periods.
  • Trendy print.
  • See-through case makes it easy to spot when you're running out of wipes.

Cons

  • Difficult to open with one hand.
  • Metal zipper-head isn't impervious to corrosion.
Ubbi On-The-Go Wipes Dispenser

Function:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
Portability:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
Style:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)
Price:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)
Average:4.8 out of 5 stars (4.8 / 5)

In terms of size, this is one of the most compact hard-shell wipe cases out there. It only holds about 20 wipes, but that's plenty for a day trip. I also appreciate the fact that it doesn't scream “baby wipe dispenser”.

Pros

  • Slimmer than many similar models.
  • Doesn't leak and effectively keeps wipes moist.
  • Silicone strap can be attached to a stroller or your diaper bag if you're short on space.
  • Striped print adds a touch of contemporary style.

Cons

  • Still a little bulky for packing directly into a diaper bag.
  • Doesn't hold a ton of wipes.
Handy Teddy Wet Wipe Pouch, Set of 3

Function:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)
Portability:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)
Style:0 out of 5 stars (0.0 / 5)
Price:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)
Average:3.8 out of 5 stars (3.8 / 5)

Ok, ok — these actually seem to perform pretty well and they're priced mighty decently too. So what's my gripe? Well, usually I don't have anything against teddy bears, but, in this case, there are just sooo many. Spread ‘em across three kiddy-colored baby wipe travel cases and all I can see is total teddy overkill.

Pros

  • Holds a minimum of 30 wipes and keeps those suckers wet.
  • Accommodates most wet wipe brands.
  • Flexible shell is easy to squeeze into gaps.
  • Features an easy carry strap — if you can bear to be seen with it hanging out, that is.
  • Affordably priced.

Cons

  • Oh, the teddies…
  • Overall durability isn't great.
OXO Tot On-The-Go Wipes Dispenser

Function:4 out of 5 stars (4.0 / 5)
Portability:4 out of 5 stars (4.0 / 5)
Style:4 out of 5 stars (4.0 / 5)
Price:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)
Average:4.3 out of 5 stars (4.3 / 5)

It's not the smallest hard-shell case around, that's for sure, but the curved edges do at least offer a streamlined feel. Worth considering if easy, one-handed opening is of the essence.

Pros

  • Features a handy push-button opening mechanism.
  • Keeps wipes moist and ready for action.
  • Silicone strap can be attached to diaper bag straps or stroller handles.

Cons

  • Pops open a little too easily, leaving plenty of room for error.
  • Despite the extra size, it still only holds around 20 wipes.
Skip Hop Snug Seal On-The-Go Baby Wipes Case

Function:3 out of 5 stars (3.0 / 5)
Portability:3 out of 5 stars (3.0 / 5)
Style:5 out of 5 stars (5.0 / 5)
Price:4 out of 5 stars (4.0 / 5)
Average:3.8 out of 5 stars (3.8 / 5)

A nice concept from a good brand, but the overall performance is underwhelming. It seems that if you fill it with just the right amount of wipes, close it just so, and handle it carefully it might still work. Honestly, though, which parent has time for all that?

Pros

  • Boasts an attractive design.
  • Available in multiple colors.
  • Transparent plastic lets you see when you're about to run out of wipes.

Cons

  • High rate of seal failure.
  • Inner arm to push wipes up takes up way too much space and creates so much tension that you end up tugging and tearing the contents.
  • Only capable of holding between 15 and 20 wipes.
  • Side clasp opens at the drop of a hat, leaving you vulnerable to ending up with a bunch of dry and useless wipes.

Do You Really Need a Baby Wipe Travel Case?

No matter where you go, how you get there, or how long you stay, your baby is going to need a wipe (or 10, maybe even 20).

Spilled milk? Pass a wipe. Sweet potato chin-smear? Make it two. Poopy diaper? Obviously.

Diaper bag real estate is precious, I know. And that's exactly what makes baby wipe travel cases so indispensable. They're compact, portable and, best of all, they hold wet wipes; the silent soldiers behind every kid-related clean-up.

What to Look For in a Travel Wipe Dispenser

Here’s what to keep an eye out for when choosing a baby wipe travel case.

Function

As simple as they are, baby wipe travel cases have two very important goals to achieve:

1. They need to hold enough wipes to get you through any mess WITHOUT adding unnecessary bulk to your diaper bag, and
2. They actually need to keep those wipes MOIST (surprise!)

Portability

Every baby wipe travel case is designed to be portable, but there’s no way around the fact that some are miles bigger than others. Hard cases, in particular, tend to have a certain appeal, but they also take up more space than their flexible counterparts, so keep this in mind if you barely have an inch to spare.

Style

If it doesn’t look at least a little better than a refill pack or a ziplock bag, why bother in the first place?

Price

Given the fact that you're probably already spending an arm and a leg on wipes, I get that you might not be keen on shelling out top dollar for a travel case. And that's okay. Most happen to be very reasonably priced anyway.

There you have it.

Six brilliant travel wipe cases that won't leave you high and dry when it's time to get down and dirty.
